macOS 15 or later, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything runs locally, including on-device Whisper voice input.

Privacy Policy

fns is a macOS app built by Jeje Labs. This page explains what data we collect, what we don’t, and how to reach us.

Short version: fns stores everything locally on your Mac. We don’t see your text snippets, clipboard contents, or voice recordings — ever.

What fns does NOT collect

Your text expansions, triggers, or snippets
Your clipboard history
Your voice recordings or transcriptions
Your keyboard shortcuts or app bindings
Anything you type, paste, or dictate

All of the above lives exclusively on your Mac. None of it is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

What we do collect

Anonymous app analytics

The fns app uses Google Firebase services for limited app operations:

Firebase Analytics for anonymous service usage statistics and product quality analysis
Firebase Remote Config to deliver remote configuration values

Firebase may process technical and usage metadata such as IP address, operating system type and version, device type, app usage events, UUID or similar app instance identifiers, access logs, cookies, and visit timestamps. These services never receive the contents of your text expansions, clipboard history, voice input, dictated text, app bindings, or anything else you type.

Anonymous web analytics (opt-in)

If you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics 4 on the website (fns.tools). This gives us aggregate, anonymized data like page views and rough geographic region. We cannot tie this to you personally.

Waitlist email

If you sign up for our “Notify me” waitlist, we store your email address in a private database. We use it solely to notify you when fns is available. We don’t sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Purchase and license records

If you purchase fns, Lemon Squeezy acts as our merchant of record and handles payments, billing, taxes, invoices, and refunds under their Privacy Policy. We receive limited purchase and license information needed to provide the app, including your email address, order status, license key status, product plan, and transaction metadata.

We use this information only to deliver licenses, manage subscriptions, process support and refund requests, and prevent abuse.

Voice input

fns uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition or the on-device Whisper model for voice input. Audio is processed entirely on your Mac — it is never sent to our servers or any external service.

Data retention

We retain waitlist emails until you ask us to remove them. Purchase emails are retained as long as needed to support your license.

Children’s privacy

fns is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of fns after an update means you accept the revised policy.
