Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for fns, a downloadable macOS productivity app sold as digital software.

Payments, billing, taxes, and refund processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy may process refunds as required by applicable law, payment network rules, or its buyer terms.


1. 14-day refund window

If you are not satisfied with fns, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase.

2. Lifetime licenses

Lifetime licenses (Personal, Standard, Team) are one-time purchases. They unlock the full fns app and all local/on-device features, but do not include cloud AI usage beyond the free monthly allowance.

You may request a full refund for a lifetime license within 14 days of purchase. After a refund is issued, the related license key is deactivated and access to paid features may stop.

3. AI Pro subscription (usage-based deduction)

AI Pro Monthly is an optional add-on that unlocks higher cloud AI usage limits. Cloud AI usage incurs third-party API costs that we cannot recover.

If you request a refund within 14 days of purchase, we will refund the remaining amount after deducting the non-recoverable cost of cloud AI usage already consumed during the billing period.

The deduction is calculated based on actual usage records and the third-party API costs incurred by fns. If no AI usage has occurred during the period, the subscription payment is fully refundable within the 14-day window.

You may cancel an AI Pro subscription at any time. Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period. After cancellation, AI Pro access continues until the end of the paid billing period unless a refund is issued.

4. Managing your subscription

You can view receipts, update your payment method, and cancel future renewals through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal. The portal link is included in every receipt email Lemon Squeezy sends after a purchase or renewal.

Canceling a subscription only stops future renewals — it does not automatically refund charges already paid. For refunds, follow the policy above and contact us at the email below.

5. Trials and beta versions

Free trials (including the 30-day AI Pro trial that ships with every new Lifetime purchase) and beta versions are provided so you can evaluate fns before purchasing. Because no payment is made for a free trial or beta download, there is nothing to refund for those versions.

6. Refund processing

Approved refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. Processing times vary depending on the payment method, bank, card network, and country.

Local taxes, currency conversion, and payment processing behavior are handled by Lemon Squeezy and the relevant payment providers.

7. Abuse and exceptions

We may refuse a refund request if we reasonably believe the request is fraudulent, abusive, or made in violation of our Terms of Service.

Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
