Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of fns, the macOS productivity app, and the fns.tools website. By using fns, you agree to these terms.
1. The app
fns is a macOS application that remaps your fn key to launch apps, expand text, manage clipboard history, enable voice input, and control keyboard scrolling. It runs locally on your Mac and requires macOS 15 or later.
2. License
When you purchase fns, you get a personal, non-transferable license for the number of Macs included in your plan: Personal includes 1 Mac, Standard includes 3 Macs, and Team includes 5 Macs. You can transfer your license to another Mac at any time — through the in-app deactivation flow, the customer portal at account.fns.tools, or by emailing us. You may not resell, sublicense, or distribute fns.
The free trial gives you access to all features for a limited period. After the trial, you need an active lifetime license to continue using the app.
3. Pricing and payments
fns is available on the following plans:
- Personal lifetime license — $29, one-time payment, includes 1 Mac
- Standard lifetime license — $49, one-time payment, includes 3 Macs
- Team lifetime license — $79, one-time payment, includes 5 Macs
- Cloud AI/API add-on for lifetime users — $9.99/month
Payments, billing, taxes, invoices, and refund processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. All prices are in USD and may be subject to local taxes. Add-on subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
4. Refunds
If you are not satisfied with fns, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Refunds, subscription cancellations, renewal refunds, and license deactivation are explained in our Refund Policy.
5. Your data
fns stores all your data (snippets, clipboard history, shortcuts, settings) locally on your Mac. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the app or your Mac, your data is gone — please back up your Mac regularly.
6. Updates
Lifetime purchasers receive updates for the life of the product at our discretion.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use fns to automate actions that violate any law or the terms of other services. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify fns.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
fns is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeje Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of fns.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. We’ll note the date of the last update at the top. Continued use of fns after an update means you accept the new terms.
